• Communication & School Notifications

Delaware City Schools uses School Messenger as our primary notification system with families. The system is capable of delivering automated telephone calls, text messages and email notifications. Student's home (or primary) phone number and email are automatically added to School Connects from our student information system. It is imperative that parents keep phone numbers and email addresses updated with their child's school to ensure you received important school information including school delays/closings, emergency notifications, attendance information and general school announcements.

    Text Messages

If you would like to receive text messages from DCS, you must opt in to the system. To opt in please text the word "YES" to 67587 from the phone on which you want to receive the message. The number must be associated with your student through our student information system. If you receive a message that the number is not in our system, please contact your child's school and ask that it be added. For families new to the district, you cannot opt in for text messages until you have completed student registration and your student has been activated.

Note: Students registering for the next school year are generally not active until August 1.
