What if my student can't get into a Google Hangout/Meet and I've already checked the wifi connection and tried restarting the device?

What if our Chromebook looks like it is connected to the wifi but it's not connected to the internet, and we've already checked our wifi router.
1. Go to the wifi settings (gear wheel, bottom right after clicking where the time is) then disconnect from the wifi and choose "forget" . Then choose your wifi again from the list and it should ask for your wifi's password . You may have to do it a few times sometimes before the password window comes up.
2. If you still can't get the Chromebook's internet connection to work, email our helpdesk at dcshelpdesk@delawarecityschools.net

My student's Chromebook won't turn on.
1. Plug it in and leave it for about an hour. Make sure the outlet is live and the plug is all the way in.
2. Unplug the device and hold the power button down for at least 30 seconds.
3. Hold down the refresh button (top row, circular arrow key) and power button at the same time for a couple of seconds, then let go of both. The device should turn back on in about 15-20 seconds.
4. If it does not, plug in the device and do step 3 again.
5. If it still won't turn on, contact your student's home school to ask for a replacement.
